PEOPLE
Ewan McIntyre, Director
Ewan formed the practice in 1998 with a desire to deliver architecture and urban design that would make a positive contribution to Scotland's settlements. Ewan has been involved in some of the most important regeneration projects and settlement expansions in the central belt in Leith, Granton, Wallyford, Armadale, Dunbar and Bellsdyke amongst many others. Ewan's particular skill is in creating solutions that bring together the often disparate design and commercial requirements of a brief.
Kyle Kernohan, Associate Director
Kyle joined EMA in 2001 following 7 years with a prominent Edinburgh commercial practice. His experience spans residential, office, retail, commercial and leisure projects. Kyle has specialised in recent years in the delivery of projects at the construction stage and he particularly enjoys partnering with contractors in the delivery of commercial projects. His current projects range in scale from a new house in Thirlestane Castle walled garden to 120 flats at Granton Harbour.
Craig Main, Architect
Craig joined EMA in 2006 after working for 8 years in practices in Belfast, New Zealand and Edinburgh. Craig makes a major contribution to the creative output of the practice. He is an experienced project architect who develops positive, proactive relationships with clients and brings an open mind to design and technical issues.
Kenneth Ross, Senior Architectural Technician
Kenneth joined EMA in 2002 from another prominent Edinburgh practice where he worked since qualifying in 1999. Kenneth's versatility is unusual in his profession and his keen interest in urban design means that he is equally at home dealing with complex technical issues as making a significant contribution to the larger masterplanning projects undertaken by the practice.
Together, the team have a love of Scottish towns and villages and are proud of the practice's contribution to their renewal and expansion.
